PUBLIC NOTICE OF CITY COUNCIL VACANCY
In accordance with Utah State Code Ann. 20A-1-510, notice is hereby given that the Escalante
City Council has a Council seat vacancy as of November 4, 2025 and will be accepting
applications from interested individuals for filling said vacancy.
Applications for the City Council seat can be obtained at the City Office. Completed applications,
may include an optional cover letter and resume, and should be sent to Escalante City Recorder
Stephanie Steed at ssteed@escalanteutah.gov or delivered to the Escalante City Offices, 65
North Center Street, Escalante, UT 84726. Questions may also be sent to the City Recorder via
email listed above, by phone at 435-826-4644, or by appointment.
The deadline for application submission is December 1, 2025 at 4:00 p.m.
Candidates will be interviewed by the City Council in an open public meeting taking place on
December 2, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at the Escalante City Council Chambers located at 65 North
Center Street, Escalante, UT 84726
CERTIFICATE OF POSTING
The undersigned duly appointed City Recorder for the municipality of Escalante City hereby
certifies that a copy of the above notice was posted on the Utah’s Public Notice Website,
https://www.utah.gov/pmn/, Escalante City Website, https://www.escalanteutah.gov and in two
public places within the Escalante City limits on this 6th day of November, 2025. These public
places being 1) Escalante Post Office 2) Escalante City Office.
